Julia and Grandma are going to carve a pumpkin. Julia would rather lay on the wall with her drink.

..or perhaps eat ...

Julia is forced into carving a pumpkin. She is suspicious of the whole idea...

...Gwamma makes her wear a ratty old shirt to protect her little Halloween candy corn outfit... Julia is even more suspicious now.

She watches Granpa cut a hole in the pumpkin....

Grandpa shows her what's inside....

"EEEEWWW", says Julia.

OK, now she is ready to be done with this whole disgusting process...

Grandpa shows her it's not scary (and certainly nothing like the traumatizing Winnie the Pooh episode with a spider that has her still frightened a month later...)

Julia helps pick where the face goes...

She and Grandmpa draw the face. Julia wants a "happy face Gwampa"

The triumphant pumpkin carvers rejoice (with the little, not so triumpant Pumpkin licking baby sister)
